I'm most comfortable in Data Engineering, Web development, Machine Learning, and DevOps in that order. That said, my background is pretty diverse so I rarely find myself shying away from new technology or challenging projects.
I started building web applications in C# and .NET for a logistics company. As a side project, I made a mobile game called ZenShift in 2011 that was downloaded 150,000 times with a solid 5-star rating in over 40 countries. A few years later I started a business that used web crawling to download hundreds of millions of web pages, machine learning to detect human trafficking ads, from there law enforcement used an interface that I built using Node.JS, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, D3.js and Angular.js to setup sting operations. We got into Y Combinator and then sold to a DARPA contractor.
Now I work at Eventbrite as the Principal Data engineer. I work on data pipelines, machine learning, API integrations and dev ops for large-scale projects.
